Agett Rd, Claremont 2012

A family residence on a challenging 10m wide block was maximised via a long parapet wall, in conjunction with a large basement. The result is a residence that belies the size of its site. A central courtyard draws in natural light to the heart of the house. Living/dining spaces are orientated towards the northern rear and swimming pool.

A guest suite is on the ground floor with remaining bedrooms on the upper floor. Council dictated a pitched roof form. Modern south east Asian architecture influences the elevational treatments and materials. The combination of black exposed steel ,ebony stained timber slats, grey dado and white render provide depth and 'layering' to the elevations whilst also providing privacy and sun protection.
