A family residence for a challenging sloping site close to the ocean.

Entry sequence is based around a central zen court which vertically connects all 3 floors.

The middle floor is at ground level to the northeast facing rear and was designed around an existing substantial tree which the owners wished to retain.

The 2 story street presentation respects existing streetscape whilst allowing roof terracing above.

Fluidity in the plan is carried thru to the front elevation which involves soft curves and a natural material palette.
