Hopetoun Tce, Shenton Park 2010

A compact 364m² site with particularly onerous local council requirements and narrow frontage. The resulting 315m² home is focused around a landscaped north facing courtyard and plunge pool. Council streetscape policies dictated a conventional pitched roof form that has been interpreted into simple pavilions. The street elevation respects but does not mimic neighbouring dwellings.

Crisp neutral finishes provide an elegant backdrop for the owners' art collection. Strong internal/external connections combine to provide an ideal lifestyle infused with abundant light and a quantity and quality of space that belies the constraints of this site.
